Meet the creator of the Glutton Motto

A friend and a beer are always near.

Those words have long had special meaning to Gluttons across the country.  They were coined by none other than John ‘Nately’ Chamberlain.

Nately Beer Machine

John lives in Louisville Kentucky these days with his family and was in town last week for a Glutton Old Boy’s gathering at the Club.

Here is an early letterhead from the Club featuring the motto…

Maybe John will enlighten us on how the motto came to be.

Hotze has quadruple bypass surgery

HotzeNon-Resident Glutton, and Santa Clause actor extraordinaire, Dale Hotze, had quadruple heart bypass surgery last week.

Dale is home recuperating and says he feels remarkably well… just tired and has lots of restrictions.  He says he probably won’t feel up to coming into St. Louis for the next GOB (Glutton Old Boys) function on July 29th  where he would probably walk through the screen door again.

He says he doesn’t think his heart could stand the humiliation of everyone laughing at him again.

We wish you a speedy recovery Hotz.
